With backgrounds in multi-national company management and occupational health psychology, the founding directors of The Healthy Working Partnership (HWP) are able to bring a new approach to managing health in the workplace of businesses.

Kerry McKay MBA

Kerry McKay is a highly experienced health manager who has worked in both the public and private health care sectors. Formerly the manager for BP’s Refining & Marketing segment Health business, she was one of the prime movers in the design and development of the health strategy and services for this organisation. Kerry has also been a lecturer and course director in further education on health management.

While leading a multi-disciplinary team, Kerry was responsible for engaging Refining & Marketing and related businesses within BP in the creation and delivery of their health agenda and policies, and with their legal compliance requirements. 

Kerry has also had hands on experience of managing multidisciplinary teams across both the UK and the US, with the everyday challenges that any team leader has to deal with…from performance, communication, absence and the day to day management challenges that arise.

A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and the Chartered Management Institute, she has an MBA degree from the Durham Business School.  Kerry is also an alumni of the Cranfield School of Management.

Sally Hearn (MSc)

Sally Hearn has a BSc hons degree in psychology from the University of Derby and an MSc degree in occupational health psychology from the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations at Nottingham University.

She worked with BP for six years in various health promotion, awareness and development roles, culminating in the post of health communications and training team leader for the oil major’s Refining & Marketing business.

A member of the European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology and the British Psychological Society (BPS), Sally has a practical working knowledge of the customer service, logistics, retail, marketing and manufacturing sectors.

Her specialist area of expertise lies in the planning and delivery of education and awareness programmes, the development and design of communications, education and awareness strategies, and the preparation of business-specific plans for targeted HR and health initiatives, specifically in the area of workplace psychological health and wellbeing.
